 Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering's game  last Friday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Oakhaven Hawks  and snuck past  15-13. This was payback for Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering, who suffered  a  16-10  loss the last time these two teams met.
  Tyrese Young made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  struck out six batters over  2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Young was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing four bases while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games he's  played.
 In other batting news,  Quincy Thorne was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing seven bases while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last ten times he's  played.  Torrie Shaheed was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record  this season. As for Oakhaven, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 6-8.
