Basketball Game Preview: Converse Wildcats vs. Ebarb Rebels

Converse is 2-8 against Ebarb since January of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Converse Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Ebarb Rebels at 6:00 p.m.

Converse is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They were beaten by Hornbeck 65-27.

Meanwhile, Ebarb entered their tilt with Anacoco on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They had just enough and edged the Indians out 43-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rebels have posted since December 5, 2024.

Ebarb pushed their record up to 18-27 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Converse, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-29.

Converse might still be hurting after the 47-22 loss they got from Ebarb when the teams last played on January 11th. Can Converse avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
