Normandy is 9-1 against Valley Forge since September of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Invaders will head out on the road to take on the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Normandy and three for Valley Forge.

On Tuesday, Normandy didn't have quite enough to beat North Olmsted and fell 3-2. While the Invaders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-19 in the first set.

Normandy took North Olmsted into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-19, 24-26, 25-21, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Valley Forge came up short against Lakewood on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-19, 25-7.

Valley Forge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Normandy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.

Everything went Normandy's way against Valley Forge in their previous matchup back in September, as Normandy made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Invaders since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
