Basketball Recap: Alliance Bloomfield Comes Up Short

Alliance Bloomfield lost against New Designs University Park back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Alliance Bloomfield Bulls took a blow against the New Designs University Park Cardinals, falling 81-29. The Bulls were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-15.

New Designs University Park found their leader in sophomore Daviandre Davis, who posted 43 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Hambrick, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 steals.

Alliance Bloomfield's loss was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for New Designs University Park, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Alliance Bloomfield will be playing at home against University Prep Value at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Alliance Bloomfield is facing University Prep Value at the right time seeing as University Prep Value is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for New Designs University Park, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against University Pathways Public Service Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. New Designs University Park's defense has only allowed 28.9 points per game this season, so University Pathways Public Service Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
