Volleyball Recap: Wagner Snags Tenth Victory in Last 12 Games

While Wagner's victory against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Raiders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Titans on Saturday.

Ravyn Medricky paced Wagner's offense, picking up ten kills. Medricky got some help from Kylin Insko and her 24 assists. Insko was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Wagner has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wagner will face off against Hanson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, they will take on Platte/Geddes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
