Soccer Recap: Kewanee Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Kewanee lost against Mendota back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Boilermakers lost 7-0 to the Trojans. While losing is never fun, Kewanee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 321st, while Mendota are ranked 56th).

Kewanee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-2. As for Mendota, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kewanee will welcome Alleman at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mendota, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Somonauk at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
