Baseball Recap: Colts Neck's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Thursday just wasn't the day for Colts Neck's offense. They fell 5-0 to the Steinert Spartans on Thursday. The match marked the first time this season in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

Colts Neck got a good showing from Nick Hayden, who pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Colts Neck saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dan Annunziata, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Colts Neck's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2. As for Steinert, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
