Channel Islands is a perfect 5-0 against Hueneme since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court one another at 6:00 p.m. Channel Islands will be strutting in after a win while Hueneme will be coming in after a loss.

Last Thursday, Channel Islands had just enough and edged out Carpinteria 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Channel Islands was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-21, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Hueneme was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Nordhoff.

Hueneme's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Channel Islands, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Channel Islands took their win against Hueneme in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. Does Channel Islands have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hueneme turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
