Softball Recap: Saline Has No Trouble Against Gibsland-Coleman

After losing to Gibsland-Coleman the last time they met, Saline decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Everything went the Saline Bobcats' way against the Gibsland-Coleman Bulldogs on Tuesday as the Saline Bobcats made off with a 12-2 win. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Saline and bumps their season record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Gibsland-Coleman, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Saline will be playing in front of their home fans against Claiborne Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Saline is facing Claiborne Christian at the right time seeing as Claiborne Christian is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Gibsland-Coleman, they will take on Doyline at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Doyline has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.14 runs per game on average), something Gibsland-Coleman will no doubt try to take advantage of.
