Football Recap: Monrovia Falls to Cascade in First Game of Season

Monrovia kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by the Cascade Cadets 48-6. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-6.

Cascade got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brady Trebley out in front who threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 39 yards. The Cadets' leading receiver Marcus J Hobson was Trebley's top target yet again, picking up 109 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, while also rushing for 30 yards.

Coming up, Monrovia will be playing at home against Linton-Stockton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cascade, they are taking a road trip to take on Danville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
