Softball Recap: Santa Fe Christian Comes Up Short

After soaring to 19 runs the game before, Santa Fe Christian was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They came up short against the Coastal Academy Stingrays, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stingrays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 back in March.

Maddie Binnie was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Santa Fe Christian now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Coastal Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Santa Fe Christian will square off against rival Escondido Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Coastal Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Foothills Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
