Christian Brothers is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since September 6, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Lipscomb Academy by a score of 27-24. The Purple Wave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Memphis University School, who bounced back after a loss on the road on October 3rd. They enjoyed a cozy 49-34 victory over Memphis Central on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Owls needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Memphis University School found their leader in sophomore Tommie Reed, who rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Those 107 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Reed. Another player making a difference was Gavin Gatere, who rushed for 78 yards and one score on only five carries.

Memphis University School was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 342 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Memphis University School's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Christian Brothers, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
