Basketball Game Preview: Silver Creek Dragons vs. Scottsburg Warriors

The Silver Creek Dragons will square off against the Scottsburg Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Silver Creek will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.

Silver Creek is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Madison by a score of 64-52. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Cubs are ranked 75th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Scottsburg's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 43-27 to Lanesville. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Scottsburg's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Silver Creek, their win bumped their record up to 21-2.

Silver Creek took their victory against Scottsburg when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 63-42. Will Silver Creek repeat their success, or does Scottsburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
