Softball Recap: Breaux Bridge Comes Up Short

Breaux Bridge lost against Beau Chene back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Breaux Bridge Tigers fell 8-4 to the Beau Chene Gators. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly four runs.

Gracie Hebert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylie Boudreaux, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Breaux Bridge has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. Beau Chene's win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Breaux Bridge will host Ville Platte at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Beau Chene, they will be playing at home against Marksville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
