Baseball Recap: South Iron Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when South Iron challenged Kingston on Thursday. South Iron fell just short of Kingston by a score of 8-7. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 12-2.

South Iron now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for Kingston, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

South Iron wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 15-2 defeat against Potosi on the 28th. As for Kingston, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-4 victory against Steelville on the 28th.
