There's no place like home for Winamac, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against North Miami by a score of 7-4 on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Winamac also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.
Brody Goodman was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Maggie Keller, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Winamac hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Miami struck out seven times.
Winamac has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for North Miami, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 14-6.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North Miami beat Winamac by a score of 13-11 later that day.
