Recap: Hazen Highlanders vs. Bethel Bison
On Monday, it was a hard-fought game, but Hazen had to settle for a 42-40 loss against Bethel. Hazen has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Hazen lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dakota Nap. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. Nap scored a full 37.5% of Hazen's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of India Andrews, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Hazen's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Bethel, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Hazen will head out on the road to face off against Bellevue at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Bellevue is ranked 63rd, while Hazen is ranked 69th). Bethel will be home for the holidays to greet Emerald Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
