Anson and Piedmont are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2017, but not for long. The Anson Bearcats will stay at home for another game and welcome the Piedmont Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Anson will be strutting in after a win while Piedmont will be coming in after a loss.
Last Thursday, everything went Anson's way against Forest Hills as Anson made off with a 3-0 victory.
While Anson won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-8, 25-23.
Meanwhile, Piedmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Parkwood, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered against the Wolf Pack since October 10, 2019.
The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-10.
Anson's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Piedmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.
