After a string of four wins, CORE Butte's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Redding Christian Lions. If the Lynx were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Lions when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Karisa Walborn paced CORE Butte's offense, picking up seven kills. Walborn got some help from Allison Freimuth and her 15 assists. Reagan Coates controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

CORE Butte's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 13-6. As for Redding Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8-3 record this season.
