Monroe is a perfect 5-0 against Columbus since January of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Golden Tornadoes will get right back to it and host the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Monroe's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Columbus has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Monroe hadn't beaten Lee County on the road since December 3, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Golden Tornadoes managed a 60-54 win over the Trojans.

Meanwhile, Columbus was beaten by Chattahoochee County 69-34 on Saturday. The matchup marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Monroe, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Everything came up roses for Monroe against Columbus in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the team secured an 86-55 win. Will the Golden Tornadoes repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
