Baseball Recap: McDonald County Comes Up Short

McDonald County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 12-5 to the Nevada Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mustangs have suffered since April 24, 2025.

Corbyn Sanderson made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Konner Land, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

McDonald County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Nevada, they pushed their record up to 18-5 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Coming up, McDonald County will host Hillcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nevada, they will face off against Butler at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
