Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Owyhee). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 71-69 win over the McDermitt Bulldogs on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Braves also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why McDermitt lost, don't look at Shandon Camas. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 23 points and 25 boards. Camas' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Dylan Palmer was another key player, going 9 of 20 on his way to 23 points and four steals.

Owyhee's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12. As for McDermitt, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Carlin the next time they take the court. McDermitt will host Carlin at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Owyhee will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
