Softball Recap: Benton Central Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Benton Central's offense. They came up short against the West Lafayette Red Devils on Tuesday, falling 6-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Bison in their meetings with the Red Devils: they've now lost six in a row.

Benton Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for West Lafayette, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

Coming up, Benton Central will challenge Rensselaer Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bison's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bombers have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season. As for West Lafayette, they will square off against Twin Lakes at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
