The Upper Sandusky Rams will square off against the Our Lady of Mercy Monarchs at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. Upper Sandusky is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Upper Sandusky got the win against Hopewell-Loudon by a conclusive 8-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Ella Frombaugh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on 11 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Madison Wengerd, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madison Hart, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Upper Sandusky was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .320 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Our Lady of Mercy had to kick off their season on the road last Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over Irondequoit. The victory continues a trend for the Monarchs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Upper Sandusky's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Our Lady of Mercy, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
