Baseball Recap: Woodford County Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

The Woodford County Yellowjackets had just enough and edged out the Great Crossing Warhawks 3-1 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Yellowjackets.

Landon Heim spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Justus Wertzler, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Woodford County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive games.
