Volleyball Recap: Desert Hot Springs Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Desert Hot Springs had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Shadow Hills Knights on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost five in a row.

While Desert Hot Springs was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Shadow Hills' winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-16.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Desert Hot Springs and Canyon Springs will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on the 20th. As for Shadow Hills, they will take on Twentynine Palms at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
