Baseball Recap: Wakefield School Comes Up Short

Wakefield School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Langley Saxons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saxons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 on Tuesday.

Wakefield School's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Langley, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Wakefield School will challenge Alexandria City at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Langley, they will take on Washington-Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
