Baseball Recap: Catasauqua's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Catasauqua came out on top against Louis E. Dieruff on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fourth inning. The Rough Riders took their game against the Huskies 12-8. The victory was some much needed relief for the Rough Riders as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Lynkan Moore, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Catasauqua is 2-1 when Moore posts two or more runs, but 0-16 otherwise. Asael Gonzalez was another key player, going 4-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Catasauqua was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was was before the start of last season.

Catasauqua picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-17. As for Louis E. Dieruff, their defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-15.
