Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eagle's Landing). They took down the Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers 80-64 on Friday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Chargers are ranked 231st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayden Bone, who posted 12 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of K-Cari Mercer, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 10 points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks.

Eagle's Landing pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
