When it comes to explaining why Shields lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cantangelo Hicks. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hakeem Shamburger, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Wilcox Central pushed their record up to 4-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Shields, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Wilcox Central will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Selma at 7:00 p.m. Selma is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. Shields is on the road again on Monday and play against Blacksher at 7:00 p.m. on December 4th. Blacksher has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
