Basketball Recap: Houston Comes Up Short

Houston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a hard 71-54 fall against the Liberty Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 365th, while the Eagles are ranked 115th).

Houston's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Liberty, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Houston Tigers take on the Thayer Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. One thing working in Thayer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches. Liberty has already played their next game (against Viburnum), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
