Portola has gone a perfect 3-0 against El Toro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Portola Bulldogs will head out to face off against the El Toro Chargers at 5:45 p.m.

Portola's tournament run continued when they took on Newport Harbor on Saturday. Portola fell 2-0 to Newport Harbor.

Meanwhile, El Toro posted their biggest victory since April 9, 2024 on Tuesday. They blew past Irvine 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Vaqueros: they've now won three in a row.

El Toro never let Irvine on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-23.

The victory got El Toro back to even at 3-3. As for Portola, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Portola beat El Toro 3-1 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Portola since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
