Preview: Park City Miners vs. Green Canyon Wolves
Park City has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Green Canyon Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Park City walked away with it. They secured a 28-24 W over Timpanogos on Friday.
Park City can attribute much of their success to Will Mccurdy, who rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown, and Eli Warner, who rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown. Mccurdy was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 54 yards.
Meanwhile, Green Canyon entered their tilt with Sky View with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Green Canyon managed a 36-32 win over Sky View on Friday. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Green Canyon's 12-point performance the contest before.
Park City's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Green Canyon, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
Everything went Park City's way against Green Canyon in their previous meeting back in August of 2022 as Park City made off with a 30-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Park City since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
