Gibson County put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Dyersburg Trojans 7-1. That's more bragging rights for the Pioneers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Owen Pack, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Brayden Fisher, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Gibson County pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Dyersburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Gibson County has already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Stewart County on the 14th. As for Dyersburg, they will head out to square off against Trinity Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Trinity Christian Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something Dyersburg will no doubt try to take advantage of.
