Basketball Game Preview: Dreher Blue Devils vs. Cane Bay Cobras

The Dreher Blue Devils will take on the Cane Bay Cobras in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Dreher has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Cane Bay will arrive with nine straight victories.

On Tuesday, Dreher came up short against Eau Claire and fell 57-47.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Cane Bay ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They walked away with a 75-67 win over Oceanside Collegiate Academy. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cobras' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Landsharks are ranked 127th).

Dreher's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Cane Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.
