Softball Recap: Celina Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Celina lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Centennial, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's game. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 20-3 margin over the Titans on Thursday. 20 seems to be a good number for the Bobcats as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The victory (which was Celina's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average this season. As for Centennial, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Celina will head out on the road to face off against Sachse at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Centennial, they will venture away from home to square off against Wakeland at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
