Softball Game Preview: Sierra Chieftains vs. Fowler Redcats

The Sierra Chieftains will challenge the Fowler Redcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sierra is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

On Friday, Sierra came up short against Liberty and fell 8-5. The Chieftains have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lexie Valle made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double. Abby Bays was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

Fowler played against Fresno Christian on Friday and won via forfeit.

The win (which was Fowler's 14th in a row) raised their record to 21-4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.1 runs over those games. As for Sierra, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.
