Softball Recap: Nicholas County Grizzlies vs. Ripley Vikings
Nicholas County and Ripley squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Nicholas County had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, with their most recent loss being a 10-2 defeat back in April.

Abby Hilleary spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on ten hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
