Football Recap: Marshall Skates Past Lawrenceville with Ease

There's no place like home for Marshall, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They claimed a resounding 34-7 victory over the Lawrenceville Indians. With the Lions ahead 20-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Lucca Giannavola produced another solid performance rushing for 201 yards and three scores while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Giannavola is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Silas Dean was another key player, rushing for 58 yards and one TD on only six carries.

Marshall didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Gavyn Boden and Kaiden Sanders.

Marshall now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Lawrenceville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
