Softball Preview: South Gwinnett Comets vs. Heritage Patriots
On Thursday South Gwinnett will have to hit the road after four straight games at home. They will venture away from home to square off against the Heritage Patriots at 5:00 p.m.
South Gwinnett came up short against Grovetown on Monday, falling 22-4.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage). They never let Rockdale County onto the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Patriots as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
South Gwinnett's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Heritage, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9.
South Gwinnett suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to Heritage in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can South Gwinnett avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
