Basketball Recap: Searsport Comes Up Short

Searsport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt an 84-42 loss at the hands of the Shead Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-46 back in December of 2024.

Searsport's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Shead, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Searsport will welcome Wiscasset at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Shead, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lee Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
