Softball Recap: Spring Creek Comes Up Short

Spring Creek's tournament run continued when they took on Lassen on Saturday. The Spartans lost 15-1 to the Grizzlies.

Spring Creek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilyanne Benavides, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Spring Creek has also been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17-1 record this season. As for Lassen, their record is now 14-6.

Coincidentally, Spring Creek and Lassen will both be playing Dayton the next time they take the field. The Grizzlies will host the Dust Devils at 4:20 p.m. on Saturday, while the Spartans will host them at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
