Riley Dillon was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and seven unearned) runs off ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run.
Dillon wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Miah Carman, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Miami East, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-3.
