Babcock suffered their biggest loss since November 29, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against the Moore Haven Terriers, falling 71-50. The Trailblazers' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Babcock's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marianeliz Murillo, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. Murillo is becoming a predictor of Babcock's success: when she posts at least eight rebounds the team is 9-1 (and 2-3 when she doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Meikah Ferry, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Moore Haven got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sa'Nyree Myers out in front who went 9 of 22 on her way to 28 points. The game was Myers' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Laniya Ash, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 12 points and five rebounds.

Babcock's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4. As for Moore Haven, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Babcock will challenge LaBelle at 5:30 p.m. on January 21st. As for Moore Haven, they will face off against Pahokee at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
