Soccer Recap: Altamont Takes a Loss

Altamont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rantoul Eagles. That's two games in a row now that Altamont have lost by just one goal.

Altamont's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Rantoul, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Altamont will welcome Carlyle at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rantoul, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Urbana at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rantoul will need to watch out since Urbana have now posted at least four goals in their last three games.
