Soccer Game Preview: Spanaway Lake vs. Bonney Lake

The Spanaway Lake Sentinels will head out to take on the Bonney Lake Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Spanaway Lake is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Emerald Ridge on Thursday. Neither the Sentinels nor the Jaguars could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Bonney Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Yelm. That's two games in a row now that Bonney Lake have lost by just one goal.

Bonney Lake's loss dropped their record down to 3-7-1. With that draw, Spanaway Lake's record moves to 4-3-1.

Spanaway Lake beat Bonney Lake by a goal when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sentinels since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
