Football Game Preview: Perry Hall Gators vs. Sherwood Warriors

The Perry Hall Gators will take on the Sherwood Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Perry Hall sitting on seven straight wins and Sherwood on five.

Perry Hall is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Oxon Hill 35-34. Perry Hall's victory was all the more impressive since the Clippers were averaging only 14.83 points allowed on the season.

Meanwhile, Sherwood earned a 19-7 win over North Point on Friday. The 19-point effort marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Sherwood found their leader in sophomore Mustafa Habib, who rushed for 131 yards. Those 131 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Habib.

Sherwood didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited North Point to a completion percentage of just 31%. The Warriors weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 40%.

Perry Hall's record now sits at 8-4. As for Sherwood, their record is now 10-1.
