Preuss UCSD came tearing into Thursday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Horizon Prep Lions, posting an 83-41 win. The Tritons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Nahom Abaynen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 30 points. Those 30 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mahad Hassan, who posted ten points.

Preuss UCSD pushed their record up to 16-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.7 points per game. As for Horizon Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Preuss UCSD will face off against Liberty Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Preuss UCSD knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Liberty Charter likes a good challenge. Horizon Prep has already played their next game (against Cornerstone Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
