Volleyball Game Preview: Middletown Christian Eagles vs. Mt. Healthy Fighting Owls

The Middletown Christian Eagles will square off against the Mt. Healthy Fighting Owls at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Mt. Healthy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Middletown Christian, who comes in off a win.

Middletown Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Legacy Christian Academy with a sharp 3-0 win. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Middletown Christian was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Mt. Healthy didn't have quite enough to beat Western Hills on Wednesday and fell 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Mt. Healthy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 18-25, 25-23, 17-25, 15-9.

Middletown Christian's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Mt. Healthy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Middletown Christian took their victory against Mt. Healthy in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Fighting Owls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
