Volleyball Recap: Rampart Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Rampart had won five straight home games and Gabriella Melecio did her part to make it six on Tuesday. Everything went the Rams' way against the Liberty Lancers as they made off with a 3-0 victory thanks in part to Melecio, who had 14 digs and three assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

While Rampart won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 29-27, 25-10.

Rampart's win bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Liberty, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rampart will face off against rival Pueblo West at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Liberty is set to take on their familiar foe Vista Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
